What is summer if you can’t get out and paint. This last week I spent four days in the Medicine Bow of southern Wyoming with some of my students. The rout, Hwy. 130 goes from Laramie to Saratoga Wyoming. Along the way you go up to timber line (almost 11,00 feet) and find lots of places to paint. I stayed in my trusty travel trailer Ruby and had all the comforts of home. Staying in one place for all that time affirmed me the time to explore. I cam back with plein air paintings and lots of photo reference to fill up my studio time over the winter. Click here to go to my website and find out more about the plein air painting you see below.
